Overview

The PHD Finance Marketplace Chrome Extension ("the Extension") is designed to streamline your workflow by automatically transferring financial model prompts from financialmodels.net to AI platforms (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok).

We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data.

Data Collection

The Extension does NOT collect any user data, including but not limited to:

• Personal information (name, email, address)
• Browsing history
• Financial model data or assumptions
• AI chat conversations
• Analytics or usage statistics

Data Storage

The Extension uses temporary local storage (Chrome's storage API) solely to:

• Hold the selected prompt text for 2 minutes while transferring from financialmodels.net to your chosen AI platform
• This data is deleted immediately after the prompt is successfully injected into the AI chat interface
• No data is retained beyond this temporary transfer process

All data remains local to your browser. Nothing is sent to external servers.

Permissions Explained

Scripting Permission

Used to insert your selected prompt text into AI chat input fields. This allows the Extension to automatically fill the text box on Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, or Grok.

Storage Permission

Used to temporarily hold your prompt during the 1-2 second transfer from financialmodels.net to the AI platform tab. Data is deleted immediately after use.

Tabs Permission

Used to open a new browser tab when you select an AI platform (e.g., clicking "Open in Claude").

Host Permissions

The Extension requires access to:

• financialmodels.net — to receive the prompt you selected
• AI platforms (claude.ai, chat.openai.com, gemini.google.com, perplexity.ai, grok.com, x.com) — to inject the prompt into their chat interfaces

Access is limited to these specific domains only.

Third-Party Services

The Extension does not integrate with any third-party analytics, tracking, or advertising services.

When you use the Extension to send a prompt to an AI platform (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.), you are interacting directly with that platform. Their respective privacy policies apply to your use of their services.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, rent, or transmit any user data because we do not collect any user data.

Security

All Extension operations occur locally within your browser. No network requests are made to external servers (except when opening AI platform websites at your request).

Children's Privacy

The Extension does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy
